I just had a birthday, but only a few thousand of my closest Internet friends know.

No, I won't say how old I am ... but my son will

More on the birthday theme: a horoscope

And another, more general reading

One of my many missions in life is to help overpopulate the planet. Thus far, I am responsible for 5 children. The woman who looks like Sophia Loren in the previous picture is my first wife. We've been married um, let's see - Steven is 36 and a half, so ... about 37 years now. In fact, this is her back when. And lest we forget the 70s, here's all of us in 1972 (or 1973).

We now have six grandchildren. In order of birth they are Travis, Elsa, Brittany, Austin, Emmaline, and Anastasia. A fun factoid: Emmaline and Ana were born on the same day (Dec. 26 1994), but to different parents (my youngest and oldest son, respectively).

For a brief period of time, I was part of a living four generation sequence of first born Hare males. That's my mom holding Travis (duh!). Here's my dad and I just after my first son was born. There exists a picture of us wearing dishdashas. You'll know what they are when you see the picture.

Once upon a time I was a child. Then I went to college and entered the ROTC program. Upon graduation, I did my time in the army, then went to work as an ad exec for Young & Rubicam. That got boring, so I started a woodworking business. Once that became big enough, I left to join a construction firm in Tennesee. And so I became a business man again.

I moved to Seattle in December of 1993. What I do now I can't tell you about yet, but it might involve a radio station and an Internet provider service. Stay tuned. Otherwise, my favorite pasttime is rollerblading.

Finally, if you have the patience, here is a 2 MB morph of my grandson, son and I.

Several of my family members have home pages as well.
