Sand Point)
The International Pacific Halibut Commission is seeking to

Re-employment is possible for subsequent halibut seasons,
typically from March to mid November for Dutch Harbor and
Seward, and 3 months for St. Paul and Sand Point. These are the
ports currently being filled; however, this announcement will
serve to staff other Alaska port sampler positions that may
come available in 2010.

plus 2010 COLA increase). Samplers also receive a 25% Alaska
bonus (cost of living adjustment) that is non-taxed. The

insurance, vacation and sick leave, and reimbursement for the
cost of gear, communication, and mileage expenditures. The
applicant is responsible for his or her accommodations
however, some assistance is provided at the start of the
season to aid in procurement. Commission personnel will
provide necessary training.

landings for length and age material and redeeming halibut
