Oregon Sport Fishery to Close

The preliminary catch estimate for the sport halibut fishery in Oregon indicates that the catch limit of 137,600 pounds for waters from Cape Falcon to the Oregon-California border has been reached. Therefore, the Oregon sport fishery south of Cape Falcon will close at 11:59 p.m. on August 8. The Oregon fishery north of Cape Falcon remains open.
